Look for the largest hard drive capacity you can afford. This is something that will be important if you will be using your laptop on a continual basis. Capacity varies with price. Buy as much capacity as you can afford, rather than risk skimping on it because you’re only looking at inexpensive laptop computers.

Remember that keyboards on laptops are unique. Because there is less room on a laptop keyboard than a desktop mode, the keys will be smaller and more tightly configures. For the most part inexpensive laptop computers will have the same size keyboards as the more expensive models. This is where being in a store is of value. You can try the keyboards out before you buy.

Weight is a consideration. Remember, the earliest TVs still took two people to move. Remember, one the reasons you’re looking at a laptop is because it is portable. Keep the weight down as much as you can. Spending less even though the unit weighs more will only cause you problems as you carry the extra weight around.
